Blade selection should start with confirming the band saw model, then selecting the blade material, and finally choosing the tooth configuration based on material thickness and surface finish requirements. For harder materials or high-frequency use, M42 material is usually more suitable. For general materials or lower-load work, standard material helps control consumable cost. 14T is more suitable for thicker materials or general cutting needs, while 18T is better for thinner materials or finer cut surfaces.
XB-125 uses 1430 series blades. Users can select M42 or standard material and choose 14T or 18T according to material and cut finish requirements. If material hardness is uncertain, M42 is usually the safer spare blade option.
XB-180 / 180 uses 1625 series blades, suitable for larger pipe materials and common on-site cutting tasks. For high cutting frequency or harder materials, M42 can reduce accelerated wear. For general materials and daily cutting, standard material helps control consumable cost.
Beaver 6 uses 1642 series blades and is suitable for use with higher cutting capacity equipment. If the main application is cutting metal pipes and profiles, select 14T or 18T according to material thickness to balance cutting efficiency and blade life.
Blade length must first match the machine model. For example, XB-125, XB-180 / 180, and Beaver 6 use different specifications. Next, select M42 or standard material based on cutting material and use frequency. Finally, choose 14T or 18T according to material thickness and cut finish requirements. This helps avoid blade mismatch, poor cutting efficiency, and accelerated blade wear.
